What is geography?

  • Geography is the scientific study of the earth as the environment/home of human kind.
  • It is the study of distribution and interrelationship between the physical and human features on the surface of the earth.
  • The term Geography is derived from a combination of two Greek words. Geo, which means ‘earth and Graphein which means to describe.
